Children’s choirs
Arranger for children’s choir & jazz trio
For the 13th volume of « Repertori de Cançons Tradicionals Catalanes » (Repertoire of Catalan Traditional Songs), the Catalan Children’s Choir Association (Secretariat de Corals Infantils de Catalunya) asked me to write a couple of arrangements for children’s choir (two or three voices) and jazz rhythm section. I arranged “Sol, solet” (a children’s song I turned into a 6/8 African beat) and “Plou i fa sol” (a lullaby thats turns first into a bolero and later on into a swing). This material, together with arrangements by other musicians, was published by Clivis and premiered at Auditori de Barcelona the 17th of May 2014 with a choir of 700 (!) children and Martí Ventura Jazz Trio, conducted by Ester Bonal.
